Yes, as long as a doctor’s note is provided. It can be beneficial to have a massage before, during and after chemotherapy. Massage helps to relieve aches and tension along with mental and physical stress. BUT, YOU CANNOT HAVE A MASSAGE WHILE UNDERGOING RADIATION TREATMENT.

All make-up must be removed prior to treatment. There can be no deodorant or body lotion on the skin. Any minerals or residue left on the skins surface can intensify the heat of the laser and result in a burn.

With parental consent, a child as young as 13 can receive treatments. The risk is the same as for adults. New hair growth as the child develops will require touch-ups.

You cannot receive any laser treatments if pregnant or nursing.

We want you to be as comfortable as possible! It is best to remove all undergarments, but you may leave them on if it helps make you feel more secure.

Once you have decided to begin laser treatments, there can be NO WAXING for 3 weeks prior to the first appointment and none during the course of the laser treatments.

Tranquility Spa gift certificates cannot be purchased with a Spa Finder, Spa Week or Spa Wish gift card. There is a $200 gift card maximum per visit per person.

All medications and creams must be stopped one week prior to an appointment. YOU CANNOT GET A FACIAL WHEN ON ACCUTANE.

Depending on the area it is best to schedule sessions 4-8 weeks apart.

Laser hair removal is permanent hair reduction. The suggested amount is 6-12 sessions depending on your skin and hair type. Laser hair removal is ineffective on gray and blonde hair. Touch-ups may be necessary as time goes on.

You cannot have direct sun exposure for 2 weeks prior to your appointment. It is suggested to stay out of the sun completely during the course of your laser treatments. It is most important to stay out of direct sunlight for minimum of two weeks after treatment. Direct sun exposure can cause severe sun burn, hyper/hypo pigmentation and blistering.

You must be freshly shaved before your laser hair removal appointment. There is a $25 shaving fee.

We have several different types of wax to best accommodate your particular skin type. The aesthetician can explain details to you prior to service

The more frequently you wax the longer it takes to grow back. We recommend a schedule of once per month.

You cannot safely be waxed unless all creams are stopped one week to 10 days prior to appointment.

Waxing is most effective when the hair is no shorter than ¼ inch. Pain increases if the hair is too long. If growth is excessive we ask that hair be shortened to ½ inch.

Unfortunately not. Steam during a facial can spread the virus to other parts of the body or result in a bacterial infection of the sores.

We cannot have more than one person in a room for facials. However, massage and body treatments can be done for two people together in the same room.

Some redness may occur. We do not recommend applying make-up the same day. Depending on the treatment you may experience sensitivity.

Our European Spa Facial is safe for someone currently nursing or pregnant. More aggressive treatments such as microdermabrasion or glycolic treatments cannot be done.

Your make-up will be removed by an aesthetician during the facial.
